PURCELL SUITE is a four dancers work made of four movements (two boys, PD2, two boys, group).
It was created for the program New Moves in 2017, which was the first and only edition performed on the main stage of Dutch National Ballet.
"This piece, together with its choice of baroque costumes and music, is a tribute to the theatre tradition.
I wanted to explore the essence of being an artist and performer: it shows how we "wear" a different identity on stage and how demanding it is to completely become another character and forget whatever has been going on in our personal lives, which is the moment we take our masks off".
